I'm trying to get my rear wheel off but the axle nut is suuuuuuperr tight! It's a castle nut on one end so took out the wire and tried putting some lube on it to try free it up but it just will not move! who ever has put the back wheel on must of been friends with the hulk! I've taken the back wheel off of my other bike before so i know what i'm meant to be doing but has anyone had this problem before if so how can i fix it?

    thanks

Stop being a fag and just use a strong arm to loosen it? Failing that spray WD40 all over it (carefully) avoiding brakes, tyres etc... Leave it to soak for a few mins and try again, keep doing it till it comes off

increase your leverage by putting a length of metal pipe over your breaker bar or or ratchet.

I have a 1/2 strong boy that's about 2 1/2 foot long there's no nut or bolt out there that has won against it oh wait there if you got cheap sockets that's a different story

I've got a torque wrench in the garage that's like a metre long might have to get that out

not advisable to use a torque wrench to loosen bolts or use as a breaker Jack.

Best thing to do it shock it to try and break where the materials have bonded... Just give it a few nice whacks with a hammer directly onto the nut (make sure you don't damage anything obviously, you may need to use something like a study lump of metal to direct the shock)... Then once you've done that, give it some plus gas (or alternative dismantling oil) then after a while put your spanner on and give it some taps to try and shock it loose

    Good luck

Heat the socket you are using prior to fitting it on the nut. Soak it in WD, then place the socket on the nut, apply the load and wait for the heat to work.

Had the same problem with my missus at first....

In all seriousness if that fails, try plus gas, i swear by it since Mike off here showed me the way!

Just take it to garage batter your eyelids and ask nicely if they will just hit it with the impact drill

+1 on stop being a fag.
When I got my cbr someone had done it up so tight that i couldn't undo it.

Literally as soon as i stopped being a fag about it, i had it undone in seconds.

Breaker bar on the nut, and just lift it up, the bike weighs more than you do. So when the back wheel is off the floor you will have a good amount of weight on it.
At that point kinda bounce it or just lift it higher and let it drop it and stop it hitting the floor solely by the breaker bar..

Pro-tip: get someone to hold the bars whilst you do this.

Oh i do hope we find out he was trying to undo the nut by turning it the wrong way....

Nope I know the saying 'righty loosey, left tighty!' ;)

Tyre won't inflate now :( did inflate but was seriously uneven! so let the air out of it now the air is just escaping.and yes I have bought the right tyre before anyone says
