Is it possible to come along and watch? And will it cost me? I've never been to a track day before and would like to see what it's all about.

Well if weather's okay I'll be riding over from Swinton so East Lancs / Bolton-ish area meet up and ride down sounds good to me.
Heated vest? Just do what I do. In winter I plait the hair on my chest then work my way over my shoulders and down my back until I can mingle it with the hairs on my arse. Better than any thermals.

Actually, I just wanted to explain a skinny bit of wire dangling from my crouch in the could weather in advance.
Fantastic track, can't get the time off work though. A word of warning if you haven't been before, Oulton has an awful lot of trees around the track and these cause the surface to be very slippy at the begining of the season particularly around clay hill, Druids & lodge, basically all the back of the track. Keep it wheels down, screen up.
