I'm not going  but might be able to help you out with these:

You will need European insurance cover otherwise you'll be paying for someone else's vehicle if you hit it(as well as damage to your own if you're fully comp) plus Euro breakdown cover for a short stretch. I don't think you'll be covered for riding the ring so don't bin it :D but I may be wrong about that cos it's classed as a Highway?? (Daz will know) Med insurance: a bit late to apply now but a Euro medical card (forms at the Post Office) will cover you, failing that check bank accounts and credit cards for travel cover for personal belongings, medical etc. or take some out for the duration of the trip.

for foreign track day medical insurance: trackcover.com 01270848708, ask for Jonathan Hill. Its about £50 for 5 days and will definately cover medical bills / repatriation if needed.

I checked with my insurance(swinton) they said i was allready covered for 37 days(odd i know) per year riding in europe, and that just to ring them 10 days before i go, I got travel insurance with my bank account but just to be sure i took some out with the post office cost 20 quid so worth having, I do also have green flag with my car insurance but i intend on checking about europe cover.
The only thing i dont know is if you have to carry the log book as proof of ownership(i know some places you do) other than that im going to take my mot, insurance, licence, pasport, travel insurance cert, and my green e111 card.

I dont know anyone going(apart from DAZ) but theres a lot of us so we should be able to muggle through a drunken weekend................. i mean a riding weekend between us.

My moto HOPE FOR THE BEST, PREPARE FOR THE WORST! and you'l not go far wrong

Daz could do with comming up with a list for us(I know your busy) of stuff we should really carry apart from the obvious beer tokens.

I'm not sure where most are coming from, but I was going to suggest meeting at Birch services (Eastbound) on the M62 at an appropriate time. Saves anyone from doubling back on themselves, and it's likely that everyone would need to pass through that way anyway.

What time's the ferry Daz? Need to vote in the morning :p

Well I was gonna go via the woodhead pass then turn up towards Holmfirth where 4 of the lads who are coming with us live. So was going to suggest that we could all meet on the Services on the M6 at Warrington its just before the M56 junction then we can head up past Manchester Airport.

That's much further for me. I wouldn't mind but I've only got 940 miles until it's due a service and every extra mile traveling means fewer laps of the ring :p

I could meet you further up the M62.

Bloody hell ya tight wad get the service done early, its only Oil n Filter isnt it? Well the plan was to ride via Doncaster then up to Hull, its a bit easier & more fun!! than going straight up the Motorway. But its up to you if you like you can meet us at Hull or the Services at the Junction of the M62 A1 if ya like?

I've serviced it myself anyway a couple of hundred miles ago. Still need to have it done by a certified mechanic on schedule for the warranty. Not going to have it done 1000 miles early when I've only just done it anyway :p

In fact, let me know the details of where your mates will be congregating in Holmfirth and I'll meet you all there.

Why not do this route from Doncaster to Hull? :D

M6 services is good, right on the M56. Be good to go over the tops if its dry but don't really fancy it if its a wet one.
