bought it at nec from a so called reputable trader lol my arse .lost it in the outside lane of m60 so fucked if i was gonna go back and look for it.its been on 2 weeks and checked last weekend when i had the wheels off and wasnt showing any signs of damage etc so looks like a day off work and a trip to huunts on the bus in the morning to sort a new one

Did you fit the chain yourself?

If so, without the chain as proof the seller won't be interested.
For it to have gone that soon it was most likely to have been the soft link incorrectly fitted.

    Could have been terrible that.
Glad you and the bike are ok.
Its a very strange one. Ive heard of chains stretching if poor quality, but not snapping. Not that new anyway.
I can vouch for the fitting as I helped eddie do it using my gear.

I was gonna ask if anyone checked it.

    Changes things a bit.
I would have picked it up.
But for a chain to go like that means a serious flaw in manufacture.

I think you've answered my question there lee.
Eddie you were worried about buying a DID chain off eBay and then you fit a shit one ??
Your very lucky to still be here to tell the story and I hope you've learnt a lesson.
There a place in Oldham I think b&c express rings a bell.

just to add to your misery of the snapped chain if memory serves me correct this was a kit you bought sprockets and chain, i would seriously be considering taking them sprockets off incase one cracks or shears, snapped chain u were lucky it escaped sprocket brakes that chain isnt going anywere but wrapping round swing arm and wheel
