Never seen that tbh. Id just keep an eye on it. Might be worth sending that picture to michelin ? See what they think.
For a moment there I thought it was a Suzuki Katana with modern forks and wheels... Looking good mate!
thats scary that.....thinking you can ride a bike with the wheel the wrong way round do you have X-ray eyes too ??? lee ha ha
Spoke via email with them today- they'd want the tyre back to the factory to check it out - CBA with all that will just keep an eye on it
Didn't say so they said they would need to do testing on it ect but would need to go back to them the way I got it eg eBay tyre seller then back to them will post email when I get home
Hello Ryan, Thanks for getting in touch. I'm sorry that you seem to be having problems with the tyres. In order for us to examine the tyre, it would need to come back to us here via the same route that it followed to get to you. This means first of all returning the tyre to wherever you purchased it from. Most tyre dealers and bike shops have a lot of tyre knowledge and experience, and on examining it, they may be able to offer an explanation and advice on the anomalies that you mention. Alternatively, they may decide that there may be a fault with the tyre, or that they believe we need to carry out a more in depth examination, in which case they will contact us to collect the tyre from them. All the tyre manufacturers in the UK follow this procedure. I hope that this helps, Best regards, Tony Tony CHARLTON
So thats a no then. If they found a problem they may well replace. First step would be to contact the place you bought it from.
just out of interest was this tyre fitted "incorrectly" on the wheel which was the wrong way round ? if so the braking forces wouldnt help . they say the only issue with a tyre being fitted incorrectly is for the dispersion on water, IE the tread would not be correct. but i would have thought braking on the tyre using opposite forces could cause your problem. a few years ago i had a tyre prob and had to return it, took it of, send back to supplier , then the manufacturer, all the above quoted system of return, it took 6 weeks for them to sort it all out . so you will have to put some type of spare on obviously
Tbh id be surprised if the direction is the cause. Id have thought more likely a pressure / temperature or manufacturing issue?
Yup understand what you's say! But ill learn from my mistakes now and won't fit them wrong again will I like I say will give it a blast and see if they clear up. Pressure has always been fine temp- could have got a bit warm
