Not recently only for new tyres about 1000 mile ago the stuff you can see is the hid kit bit on show And wierd it is but got to say I do love it though some wont like it some will
so who fitted it the wrong way? Its back to front. Which probably means the tyre is going the wrong way, and so are the discs!!!!!!
the whole bike looks as its back to front !!! erm.....which is the front ? i can honestly ay i have never seen one of these out on the road , bet it gets some glances at bike meets, rivvy etc .
he must have zoomed in on the picture there will be an arrow on the tyre pointing in the direction of rotation its an MOT failure for the tyre to be on the wrong way !!
There is a direction arrow on the sidewall. The wheel has sweeping spokes, they should go the same way as the rear (look at them, see how the front is different from the rear?) The tyre should have the arrow facing in the direction of rotation, and the discs will also have an arrow for direction. All are important!
no dave, i just assumed the tyre was fitted correctly to the wheel. but the wheel is the wrong way round.
Wow learn something new everyday then.. Just been out and it is the wrong way! Got to say great spot! Thanks for that
so if it passed an mot the tyre is rotating in the correct direction but ..if you now just take the wheel off and turn it round ! the tyre will be in the wrong direction ! hope that makes sense ...just check the arrow for direction of rotation simples
so make sure when you swap the wheel round both the arrows on the tyre AND the discs go the correct way. And find a new mot place!
Where is it cracking? This sometimes happens on race scrubs that are run on road bikes. Ive had it on a couple of sets of racetecs. Used to crack from the end of the tread pattern. On the front tyre usually.
They were new lee although I did ride woodhead pretty hard last weekend it's about an inch from the edge
