I have been looking at getting a second bike for a while but unfortunately i carnt see me keeping both on the road so im possibly looking at selling the cb for something bigger now ive been back on a bike a couple of years. just wondering out of interest how much i would get? i realize i wont be getting my money back but i have a minimum in mind. if it didn't get that i would keep until i could get another bike as well.

I'd of thought you get around 2k depending on mileage, Cbs in an average condition are going for around £1500 on places like autotrader.

thanks Pete, they vary so much! on ebay they can go from a few hundred quid but thats for a rough one! this would literally need nothing doing unless they wanted to change the cosmetics. practically all consumables are brand new like tyres, chain and radiator.the rest is 12 months old or less. im not keen on ebay though for selling bikes its very hit or miss although i do use it for other things. its done 49,000 so some people might gasp lol but these bikes go on forever im on a cb500 forum and many lads have around 100,000 on some of them and at least one has a bike with 120,000 and still going! engines come pretty cheap too if a lower mileage was wanted but ive looked after it with valve clearances done, oil change every 4,000 miles, iridium plugs and k and n filter. I was thinking of putting it on for about £1200 id possibly take around a £1000 if there was something i was after. as you say I think auto trader would be the best place to start after forums ect.
