Had my cbr 6 in there this morning for £50 set up,well worth it, they changed 4 of the 5 settings. Although i found it ok before, both on road and track they now have got both the front and back suspension both working together in perfect sync. no wonder it handled so well with the missus on the back, the rear preload was way to high/hard leaving not a lot of travel! well worth having it done, for me anyway. Think will get the 916 sorted next for 2 up riding. nice to get someone who knows what there doing to get a base setting. Bet most bikes on the road are not set up for their riders!

How would they go about setting mine up for me? As far as I know the bandit isn't adjustable? :S

    You've saved £50 then lol
Rear spring preload should be adjustable and different oil weights in the forks is about it.

hahaha! well it's currently having progressive springs put in and a heavier oil, can't wait to see what it's like now without it's soggy front end!

They will change the springs and oil in the front all right for your weight and riding style will also change the spring on the back to your weight

Got my 'badge' on my forks yesterday, great guys had a good natter. Bike is now a lot firmer at the front while being more compliant, less fork dive.

They explained that a new K2 is a bit 'soggy' from the start anyway and is set up for someone who weighs 12st. I'm 16...:p

What settings did they alter and what are they set to?

Altered all 3 front and back Dave, I forget precisely now and they didn't write it down. Said the front would bottom out with a good push so they've upped the preload on front, the rear they actually backed off the preload but altered comp & rebound, halved the sag from 8-4cm for fat git here. They also confirmed it had not been touched from new as the adjusters were immaculate

They did say for the ideal set up I would need new springs & fork oil -£300
