ive had 2 medicals so far.... the last one was in october 2011 - 6mth ago. & tbh with the racing season under way im expecting they will be even slower now......
Well had the guy round tonight doing all the checks and asking questions etc. nice guy. ex cop who actually used to do vip driving jobs with the royal family! So he says he will have report to insurance in a week. wish it would just hurry up now.

Well house insurance rang today to say they werent paying for the bmx the jacket or the helmet. They said i dont have bike cover. So i said that only covers the bike away from home? Correct she says. It was stolen from the garage says me. ok well pay. also agreed to jacket as they will class it as clothing. But they are refusing the lid. saying it is a motorcyle accessory! WTF! spoke to my bike insurance. we wont pay. its not an accessory. its personal protective gear. same as clothing. Now im trying to argue the toss with the home ins. i asked if i bought a lid as a present and it got nicked would they have paid (even if i didnt own a bike)? no they said. still a bike accessory. Cunts
your helmet isnt an accessory, it's an essential part of your moroncycle clothing & a legal requirement. an accessory is a fkin handbag. and im sure they'd pay out if your missis had her handbag nicked. you need to speak to someone who knows wtf theyre on about m8 instead of some agency muppet :/

i know. someone from the "complaints team" will ring me back tomorrow. then im not sure who to go to. insurance ombudsman, fsa. f*ck knows. but im well up for a fight if thats what they want.
tbh m8 i'd just say ok... never mind, if i cant claim for my helmet that's fine. but i just noticed they've also taken my laptop, telly and all my powertools.

Interesting discussion with home insurance today. Went from telling me that helmets were motorbike accessories to eventually agreeing i had a valid point that its protective personal equipment. so will pay for lid, jacket and the bmx that went. new for old. just got to get quotes now and send them off. Deffo pays to keep calm and have a clear and reasonable arguement in your head.
