I'm guessing it's going to be similar to the VFR and other 'Pro-Arm' single sided Hondas. My VFR was seized, probably due to ack of use. The teeth that the C-spanner fits into aren't particularly strong, so be gentle, don't over force it. I undid the pinch bolt and squirted in some plus gas. Eventually I got some movement, which I wiggled by tightening and slackening the chain until it finally freed up. Take your time and if in doubt, ask!
Pretty certain of it, as the noise can now be pinpointed, and you can feel the rattling sprocket if you allow the bike to do too much engine braking! Its a fairly easy fix i think thank god!
As far as i'm aware it uses the same system of the eccentric bearing/pinch bolt ect. Got the front sprocket on order and found a decent honda wrench for it on fleabay! Copius amounts of WD40 should do it!
Plus gas is better than WD40! Squirt it in and work the hub both ways. If you're hub's seized in, it'll free it off with some wiggling!
Personally I would be stripping the hub out and cleaning the housing. These type of adjusters are very susceptable to dirt and damp getting in through the clamping slot, this creates the white oxidation you get on aluminium, if you use Plus gas or WD40 this will turn the oxidation into a nice grinding paste. This can also cause the wheel to be out of true due to the crap canting the wheel over. Strip out clean thoroughly and grease up to avoid the same problem happening again. Had to do a Speed Triple swinger last year to cure wheel alignment problems.
