    Lol.
    Come on.
    Spill the beans.
    Ive had an r1 where the starter would stick after standing for a while.
    But from your reply im gonna guess something simple!

    I had this on my fzr. It was the solenoid. Don't know what it is or what it does but I changed it and the bike worked fine

    The Thundercat had corroded terminals on the starter motor. Same issues as OP. Clicking Starter Solenoid but no actual starter.

    Cleaned terminals = Starts first time, every time.

    the turboencabulator had died and in turn had caused the retroencabulator to cease solid...:whistle:

    Haha it was as simple as the battery :)
    I wrongly thought as when on the optimate as it was showing as good and also would not jump start that it could not be the battery.
    Bloke sorted it in minutes :) felt like a right twerp but just glad it's sorted ready for next week.
    Hate electrics even more now I think I have spent about 10 hours going over this arrrhhhhh

    sounds as bad as me dad he thought the cogs wer sticking as couldnt get oil pump off so he had me spinning rear wheel to dislodge it so i had to look at this pump the fking bolt wer still in it
