it could and i say"could" be an oil leak from your oil filter/head gasket onto your exhaust headers. Take the fairings off and look for staining on the exhaust and oily crap inside your panels...

Chris, you say this only happens when its raining, just an idea why not run it up to temperature at your house then use the garden hose to simulate heavy rain, the problem might appear again, you could then narrow it down

well i tell you now mate, go tyre care in st helens and you wont be dissapointed, i payed 90 pound for a front bridgestone 014 and i can get a rear tyre for cheaper than you paid for your front tyre, what tyre did you buy off them :D :D

never heard of maxxis mate, but ill post something up soon on how to get to tyre care, if you can get there by car it would be cheaper to take just your wheel or wheels, otherwise it could be about 15 to 20 pound for them to fit the tyres where as if you take just your wheels its about a 5'er or so :D :D

hi ant heres the address for tyre care mate......45-49A dentons green lane, st.helens, mersyside, wa10 2qf,telephone is 01744 27214/757288, a rough guide to get there, go down the lancs to the point where you turn right for southport but go left instead at the petrol station and follow it into st helens down through the one way system and it will lead you to tyre care, if you get stuck im sure somebody will point you in the right direction, hope this helps mate, im shit with directing ppl unless im there with them really lol
