    Help!!!!

Just went round the block and it cut out with a fair bit of smoke. The fan kicked in and I got it home. Don't have any more coolant (half a litre in) do I need to add more? Also I snapped one of the studs -_- I have a spare and the broken one has quiet alot showing. Any ideas?

top the coolant up with water for now m8.

Exhaust (4) far right stud. They come out but I can get proper grip on it. Probably and 1" to 1.5" sticking out. Can't reach one of the others too so sounds like a pig! Lol

give it a good smack inwards with a hammer a few times to shock it loose - dont hit it sideways though. it'll come out :)

well done m8, its normally the clutch housing were u fill up the oil.

Depending on the noise it could the thrust bearing. I would try the clutch from the old motor if i thorght there was a problem.

if the clutch is noisy dont do anything til you've bled it again / changed fluid.

Just read through this thread and to be honest I can't believe you tried to do this on your own.

You obviously needed help to get the new engine ready to run.

And how do I take that?
Tbh apart from a few hiccups with the exhaust studs it went amazingly well anyone that thinks you need certain skills is IMO bigheaded.

I try whatever I can to save money. If I can't do it then sure I'll pay but I'd prefer to try first!

All credit for what you've done. Yes there are certain skills you need but these come with experience which you are gaining.

Don't be over confident if your not sure ask and listen. :)

Right took the bike to the garage to get the snapped stud removed and they wanted to take the engine out! £250 in labor costs..... Well f*ck that! Will sort it myself lol possiably weld something to it to lever it out!

What has snapped mate I might be able to help. If it's a exhaust one it's a m12x1.25 pitch and you can use a spark plug tap and get the stud from Lloyd and jones in bootle.

Well theyclaimed they needed the engine out to remove two of the bolts after they snap. So I asked to borrow a spanner and undid them without them snapping. Asked them to sort the snapped stud out and done!
