Bikers 4 Macmillan are a fundraising group raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support through the common ground of an interest in Motorcycling. Throughout the year we organise trips, rides and visits. Some are fundraising and some are not, after all, we’re motorcyclists that raise funds not fundraisers who ride bikes.

This is the 4th Year Of The Annual Overnight Ride from Holyhead to Skegness and it takes place overnight on June 23rd/24th 2012.
The ride departs from Southstack Car park (LL65 1YH), Holyhead at 9.30pm and travels across country (no Motorways) and aims to arrive at Skegness by 4.15am just as the sun rises.

Last years tour was a great success with 36 riders completing the 256 miles and raising over £5000! 62 are currently registered and that’s with over 4 months to go, lets try for 100!!!

The ride/route is fully marshalled and there are plenty of fuel/refreshment stops along the way as well as the odd bacon butty thrown in!

Participants are asked to pre-register (Rider only £10, Rider and Pillion £15) through our website:
    http://www.bikers4macmillan.org.uk/registration.aspx

All funds raised go to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Hope to see as many of you there as possible!

Hmm possibly. 120 miles to get to Holyhead before the trip even begins tho. Probably be skint too with it being right at the end of the month.

I have contacted the organisers asking for suggestions as to where we can get some shut eye in Skeggy before riding home. Will keep you informed

If you book a b n b you could get your head down till about tea time then go and get some grubbers round skegness and a few scoops, plenty of pubs in skeggy then travel back monday morning :shades:

have got someone from another site who's said people can grab a kip or whatever at hers before the start, she's also looking into something the other end.

If we find a B N B with a bar, we could get them to let us have a few sccops when we arrive at 6 am then head down for a kip up at 3ish hit the bars and then early nigt ready for a good run home the next day :D :D :D :D
