Each fork is like a single cell nothing is shared so hard tip in left and hard tip in right would feel totally diff

Only way running different weights is on mways higher weight in left to adjust for road camber

Went for a quick test and seems pretty normal. That being said im far from experienced in different suspension set ups so I doubt ill notice much difference anyway haha. Seems itll be alright till I get chance to source a new pinch bolt.

You're out of your depth Smudger. On the early BMW K series all the damping was done on one side only. They did a sports pack extra that added damping to the other side.

Surely having one damper stiffer would cause pull

you've only done one??? ideally you are supposed to change both whether both are leaking or not.

Oh just on a side not im only.using common sence as im under assumption running 5w in one and 30w in other would not make it 15w im no experienced person to comment if it doesnt work like that

Both was the plan of course....

I put it all back together after i did the first one so it was back on wheels overnight rather than supported by my bodged method of lifting the front end as I dont have a headstock stand. I then managed to round off the pinch bolt once it was tightened back up again. The other will be done pretty soon once I get chance to source a new pinch bolt.

As Bloke implies, many bikes have the damping in one fork and the rebound in the other.
