    Hey guys,

Im in the process of changing my fork seal but cant for the life of me get the allen bolt out the bottom. Is there any way I can get the seal out without removing it? Or do you have any tips for removal of the bolt?

If you've got a ratchet set with Allen bits use one of them. Plenty of force needed. A bar on the end for extra leverage if needed.

Only thing I have thwt fits is an L shape allen, and the long end is needed to get down to it. Been trying with a bar attached to it for extra leverage but still no luck. I think i just lack muscles haha.

Careful with those L shaped Allen's they are very easy to go at an angle and fuck the bolt up.

Well that went better than expected actually considering its the most technical thing ive ever done. Took me fucking ages to reseat the bushing and seal though and typically I've rounded the pinch bolt while putting it all back together :bang:. Luckily its properly torqued up but now ill need to buy another damn bolt before I can do the other fork... I now have one filled with old as fuck 10w sludge, and a second filled with nice clean 15w lol. Heres hoping I can find a bolt pronto and get the other done so I'm not riding round with miss matched fork oil. No idea how that would feel

it's just like having 12.5 oil in;)

know a few people who've used different weights of oil in one fork.

    That's all about getting a certain viscosity you can't buy. 10w + 15w = 12.5w as an example
