Honda say 2 turns out so all way in then 2 turns out whilst carbs off Sent from my BlackBerry 9320 using Tapatalk
Yeah but what did you turn out? Only screws I could see was for the pilot? Im no carb expert. But I always thought the only way to adjust the fuelling on the mains was to change the jets ie a dynojet kit?
There are 4 screws 1 for each carb sumtimes its like a D shape but mine were all pozzie Sent from my BlackBerry 9320 using Tapatalk
From what I've read you still have to set 3 first then bring the others to it. The base setting is still when the butterfly is fully closed with a closed throttle.
The majority of 4 carbs only have 3 setting screws, as you say match 3/4 then 1/2 then the pairs together. The adjusters lift 1 butterfly and drop the other (think see saw) so 1 screw adjusts both carbs.
The pilot screw is also called the mixture screw, only sets the mixture at low revs. And yep the way to increase fueling higher up is to change the main jets. As long as you have the air flow/cylinder flow to go with it.
4 screws for mixture and only 4 2 1 have butterfly adjusting screws to set butterfly 3 there was a long thing with a twist knob used that to adjust 3 first all back together then used the same knob I adjusted 3 with to lower the revs as carbs 1 2 and 4 were in sync with 3 so any adjustment on 3 would do exact same to 1 2 3 Sent from my BlackBerry 9320 using Tapatalk

Ok proper noob question if I try this method to sync my carbs on the nc31 were do i put them tubes as I'm sure they don't go on the fuel drains on the carbs and. Only 2 tubes going from ram air in carb and 2 petrol pipes going in Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
Correct me if im wrong but there should be a screw in each inlet (connects carb to engine ). on mine there was 1 screw on each of inlet i removed the screw on each 1 and screwed a welding tip (sold in halfords) into each 1 to be able to connect each hose onto
Iirc carb 1 has a plug you unscrew from the side, you need an m5 adaptor to fit your pipe onto, the others have a small black rubber cap at the base of each carb with a spring clip holding them in place. They are a bitch to get off, and will probably be perished and tear as you remove them.
