So my lexmoto arizona (Chinese bike) has stopped working correctly I have to bump her to get it running then i have to give her loads of beans to keep her that way, if the revs drop too low she dies. She's fine when she's not reved the balls of, but i just rode it down the street then and when i get above a certain RPM she's back firing loads and it constant rocking, cutting out then back to life then out. What do you guys think it is? I thought it might be the carb? Thanks guys
I always say this but the Chinese models suffer bad earth wire from battery.to frame check it Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
Could definetly be the carb if when it revs too low it dies, Take the carb off and clean it up. I'd do the usual: Clean the carb jets & Check fuel is running through correctly. Check for compression when turning it over. Replace spark plug. ^ What Smudger said, electrics are notoriously bad for Chinese bikes, It could be something with the CDI but I'd check all the other things first.
Thought it was fuel at first as it doesn't have a fuel gauge but after 5litres she's still not happy not tried the match yet
Im very surprised. These chinese bikes have a fantastic reputation for reliability. Hope you get sorted
just take it to Walton area in Liverpool , chain to the railings and walk away ..wont ever be seen again ...GONE ! nice insurance payout then bobs your uncle
Lights don't need the current that the starting circuit/coil needs. Check the earth. If no better then go for the carb, try emptying the carb bowl first in case you have some water in it. But it may need a good clean. Check the fuel filter, this might be in the tank. Check the fuel tap by removing the pipe to the carb and turn it on.
Going to be honest don't have a clue where the ground is on my bike but i'll find it. right okay, going to write a list before i start so i tick all boxes
There will be a lead going to the negative of the battery, that is one ground. Any other things grounded would have a ring connector, and bolted to the frame.
Don't temped me, the fuckers only worth £600. anyway I was thinking this untill i saw the other post about your insurance going up if you claim regardless if it's your fault or not, don't even want to imagine the insurance cost after i tell them i've had a claim
I think your misunderstanding the meaning of at fault or non fault. If your bike is stolen thats still an at fault claim. Anything you claim on your own insurance is. But if someone hits you, and you claim off their insurance, you may well see your premium rise regardless.
