Bike Runs Better When Cold?

    Some interesting comments on this thread, got to agree cooler, dense air improves the combustion process to a degree. Popping and banging is mostly associated with an engine running lean. The flame thrower antics of Bob's bike are self inflicted by hitting the kill switch, dumping a load of fuel into the exhaust then reigniting it by putting the kill switch back on. This will most likely result in you being able to remove your piston rings via your oil drain plug without having to strip the engine.

    Note to self, would you consider buying a bike of this previous, careful owner in the future?

    In my defence...it does bang on its own occasionally haha i just "pipe bang" to scare people especially joggers or "gaggles" of girls

    Sounds rich to me too. A quick check is to whip the plugs out. They should be a golden brown colour, like the song :)
    If they are black and sooty the mixture is too rich, if they are white, it's too lean.

    More likely if it's not been serviced for ??? long the air filter will be full of shit, dead flies, leaves and god knows what else blocking the air supply... Even regular service intervals don't always include air filter changes so it might be well overdue.
