Couldn't agree more! On a car, you can get away with a bit more as you've got twice the number of tyres and each one has a contact patch around the size of an A4 sheet of paper. On a bike, your contact patch is around the size of a credit card..........
I'm guessing you are the Danny who I've been emailing then haha. Any chance of a NWB discount on the quote you gave me so far? Cheeky I know but if you don't ask you don't get and all that
Right looks like TST tyres are getting my vote Cheers Danny will be in tmw or thurs hopefully a dry day too so I can bring the bike in and save myself taking the tyres off haha Looking forward to riding with some nice new rubber on the bike not sketchy old stuff
SMD are worth a try. Been in business far longer and ran michelins race support for years. Frequently quoted in magazines for the expertise
Saltys good mate so yea TST for new tyres. Buts if your looking for part worns or track day take offs, go on ebay, ive got some proper bargains there but also got some proper rip off so balances itself out i suppose.
SMD was started by tony and Paul in the 1970's and Tony reteired in 1995. Tony now own TST and we still run classic race bike ( parade use )
Tyres all fitted and 1st class service from TST Spotted a problem with my front spindle too that I can get sorted before its too late! Cheers Danny
+1 for TST from me, great service and prices. Maybe I should have tried for NWB discount when I went aswell!
+2 can't complain about the deal I got on mine anyway, the quote I got on the phone was the best price I got and on the day he charged me even less, can't see me going anywhere else in future.
