Yea mate 80 kit is on. Ordered a few more parts today so should have it running on the road next week. Then will strip and paint.
I'm asumeing that,that is the metla rod that give's throw the AC geenrator and into the drive belt,problem is evreytime I try and undo it,it just spins.
I'll have to forgive my ingorance,I know next to nothing about bikes,I'm trying to get the fly wheel off to get into the crank shaft to do some valve cheeks. as one of my valves is not opening right so the engine won't start. I like to think of this as a learning expiernce as well.
Mate you don't take the crank out to check valves. Take the rocker cover off and you will see the cam sprocket and valve springs. The clearance is measured by checking the gap between the top of the spring and the rocker arm. Ideally 0.03 intake and 0.04 exhaust.
Thats because it started of in my garage Sue and after my accident , we couldnt do the beast run on peds so agreed to be a back vehicle, Martin came around one day for a few spares and this was what was left :roflmao:
checked and set valves today and then went to fire the engine. No fuel coming through the the carb so ive ordered a new vacum pump (petcock) along with some other bits. Got both electric and kick start working fine and engine back into the frame.
