back brake

    Have you managed to get it working yet lad?

    not even looked at it today to be fair ive just been rideing all day. only just got back in going to have to do it tomoz

    Agree with the bleeding tips above, but If the old pads have been badly worn for a while, the caliper pistons will have been exposed to all kinds of dust salt spray and other crap. If your mate has just pushed them back in it, they will be stiff.
    Try taking one pad out and gently press the brake until the piston is nearly out. Then clean it with brake cleaner and a toothbrush. Push it back in, refit the pad and do the same with the other one. Give the disk a good clean while you are at it.
    Remember to pump the pedal a few times before you ride it!
    If the surface of the pistons look rough or corroded they will need changing.
