Ive seen a few posts snd ive posted and raved about chinese levers especially those from the 2 wheels. Anyway I have never had an issue with the chinky versions but as im a posing fucker I decided to buy ASV. Worst decision ever it coukd have killed me.... fact.... Fitted the clutch no problem but I should have known something was wrong when the brake lever was a twat to fit. Went up the road and as the brakes got hot the front locked up and put me on the floor. I shit you not I was put on the wrong side of the road because this is 1-2mm long Incase you dont know what it is, its the bar that your lever presses into the master cylinder. This is very poor from ASV and they are getting a "you fucking wankers" phone call in the morning. So im not giving in im getting it shortened as we Speak so that it isnt pushing on the master cylinder. Fucking ASV Buy Orange It Will Make You Fast
I bought chinese for the bandit and even when I got knocked off they ground down but never snapped ! I rate them and had 0 problems with them on the rsv r I have titax on it and had no problem
Gutted mate... how's you? Nothing nice about hitting the floor... Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk 4
Bloody hell Daz thats not good at all considering its supposed to be a premium product from a premium company. This year is turning out to be your Annus Horribilis mate.
Did you read the instructions? ASV are designed to fit different bikes, some with different length piston rods. If you had bought them from ASV they would of supplied the correct part and you would of had a very clear warning how to fit it.. I don't see how you can slate a manufacturer for something supplied second hand and not fitted correctly.
mine were bought new and for bloody expensive levers the fit is shocking to say the least!! remind me to show you how much they waggle round when you're out next.
Dave they were brand new and come with the correct rods I even stripped the master cylinder to check it wasn't busted, the rod is to big.
I stand corrected, the ones I had had a different plunger and a different barrel that the plunger sits in with clear warnings which bikes use which... and a free phone number to call if in doubt or if you have problems when fitting them.
The one in the pic you posted looks different to the one on the ASV instructions http://asvinventions.com/TechSupport/INSTRUCTIONS_BRC550.pdf
