Sounds like a good idea, not much else on in April yet. Fast group this time Daz? Will you be on the RC8? Fancy a swop for the K7 for a session if you are? :bleh:
Don't forget that's Easter Sunday. It's £109 with a 10% discount if you're a member of track day riders forum. http://www.nolimitstrackdays.com/acatalog/angleseytrackevents.html
Hmm day after my birthday. Two questions. 1. Is my bike too loud? 2. Should I sign up on rookie? See you guys on track! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Two answers:- No your bike is not too loud, they don't sound check at Anglesey and besides, you won't be able to hear it over the sound of mine. If it's your first TD, sign up for novice, then straight after the briefing, grab hold of one of the instructors and ask him to give you some advice on the 2nd session. That way, you can have a session where you just get used to being on track and get used to the track itself, then the 2nd session, you can concentrate a bit more on following the instructor. Might even be better to book some time with one of them straight after lunch, so you can learn at your own pace in the morning, then get some more guidance in the afternoon.
right spoke to the misses and shes now buying me this for my birthday Honestly came up with it on her own! Looking forward to it now, just need to get 3 sisters to get used to the bike o and buy a gopro
3 Sisters you need an ACU license don't you? They do some charity TD's I think, but not sure when. Might be worth getting something like this instead of a Go Pro....cheaper to replace if you bin it! http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=110355
Oh...and Elliott....if you get comfortable with Novice and want to move up to Inters, No Limits are usually pretty good at letting you swap. To be honest, I'd stay in Novice and get a good day TD time behind you and then maybe look at moving up on another TD....gives you an excuse to go again
Yea ill defo stay in that pack, a calmer enviroment and if i wanna go mad ill just be closer to the front.. and im talking 3sisters charity days no acu licence for me :S You gonna be on the SV or you going ahead with a track bike?
Probs gonna be on the SV. I have my eye on a bike for the track at the mo but think it's gonna end up going higher than my budget. The SV does well at Anglesey, easy enough to stay at the front in Novice and keep pace in Inters. I posted a link in Bike Chat to ACU courses for £40, most quite local. What tyres you running on the SV and how much tread left?
Yea saw the acu link will have to see what I'm like on a proper track to make a decision. ATM I'm running pilot road tyres will bags of tread left maybe 4-6k??? I want racetech or similar for summer can I have a 180 on the rear? Just so I can get the scrubbed ones Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Search the sv site I linked you to for answers on the 180 rear. Pilot roads will be fine, just drop them by a few (3) psi on the day. So something like 30 front 33 rear if I remember correctly. There's usually a tire bod at the track so you can always get advice from them.
So who's deffo booked on for this? 1. Nobbylad 2. Elliott (did Charlotte buy it for your Birthday?) 3. GixxerD ? 4. Daz?
Will book tonight. Completely forgot. We camping overnight or owt? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I might camp over on Saturday night to avoid an early dart in the morning, but will probs book a B&B.
