Any bike from 600 up can get you in serious trouble ......the 675r included ....it's the riders not the bike . Progress where possible , restraint when required .
What has failed to be mentioned is how thin the paint work is and Liable to stone chip the carbon is also very thin and poor Quality, how cheap and Nasty the red frame is under the seat it may be quick and most of the bike sound comes from the Induction noise which isn't for me I also found it a soft bike to ride were as I like be to a bit more hard core as a kids bike or someone with not much ride Experience it's a good starter sports bike. So what makes a good track bike Sue? In most of the reviews I seen they how easy it is to ride which makes it good for all new comers! Forgot to say it give me really bad pins and needles in my hands and feet but that of been someone with a voo boo doll lol ha ha Part of the Splinter group
Have to admit I get a little pins and needles when doing a steady run... must be some sort of harmonic set up with my fat ass on the seat... As to the best track bike... well in my meagre hands it certainly isnt the fastest, but with that blend of usable not intimidating torque, its pretty damn good... I can't imagine me bein much faster on a litre bike... I definitely wasnt as fast on my RC8..
Find me one for 2k and I might just buy one but I'm still looking for a ccm r30 anyone!!!!!! Part of the Splinter group
No it's not too 'hardcore', but then neither is the Honda Fireblade (the best-selling supersport bike you can buy...) Fair play to you for giving your views, it's what a good 'discussion' is all about!
off topic a bit, but personally id test a few other supermotos back to back witha ccm. I found the ccm pretty poor compared to the others. Still good fun. but not as good as the others. Mate of mine picked up a lovely ktm 450smr for £2500.
personally if you can find something like either a 660smc or 625smc (ktm) id recommend a go. or a true sm like a 525exc (converted to sm), 450smr (a race sm) which are pretty maintenance intensive, or even a converted crosser (honda cr450f etc)
Anyone got a spare 10 grand then. Saying that he reckons in the review you can get the standard 675 for £899 on the road, bargain!
I went to see a ktm 660 smc competition spec the other week it was a proper kick start machine & to be honest it scared me a little. Plus it would be nick instantly around here
