Been kicking around the option of an evening ride-out with RadicalRabit and Baldrirk. We three seem to have agreed on Wednesday tea time. The afternoon looks sunny and mild, so the roads will likely be dry. Cloud should be moving in, so the outward journey should be mild. Wind is predicted to be light, so shouldn't get buffeted around. Might get a bit damp on the last leg home. Meeting at McD's in Hattesley at the top (east end of the M67, you can see it from the roundabout) fuelled and ready to go at 18:00. The Tesco's opposite has a fuel station. The Peaks being RR's specialty, I am going to trust the route and (hopefully a sit in ) eatery to Dave (although I will have a back up plan:geek.
Travellers rest at the bottom of The Snake is an option for food or the Green man in Bradwell? There is a pub at Hulme End which is on the way.... Route? narrow roads to Whaley Bridge ... LongHill (faster) Back road up to the Cat (pretty but not sure if its dark) then Newhaven via Longnor and Hulme End odd roads to Hathersage ( open twisty with farm hazards ) back to the start via Castelton and Edale. ...... Chapel .......or something like that ......or an option is to leather it back back over the snake if you want to ....... if people arrive on time we might get to fit in ~Holmefirth via Holme pass and back down Woodhead.
Be leaving Middleton at 5pm Wednesday so will head straight to McD's if the weather stays true. Please no Dirt tracks Dave . :thumbsup:

Map in Marks post above. Just get on the M60 and exit at Junc 24. Take the M67 all the way to the end and on the roundabout turn off with Tesco's on your left and then turn right into McD's
