does anybody have any idea how i remove the ignition barrel from the top yoke in the manuel it says they should be size 6 torque bolts but on mine its like a dome shaped head u can just make it out from the pic

That looks like a sheer bolt. Itll have to be drilled out or forced round with a hanner and chisel

i had the same on my R1, its what is left of a shear bolt as dougall said.
i carefully drilled the head off and removed the remaining bit of stud with mole grips.
replace with a std cap head.
best to remove the top yoke complete with barrel and wiring (which itself may be a pain) to make drilling easier.

I use a very sharp centre punch and tap them round they don't take much to get moving

easiest way imo is drill a small pilot hole and then use a small stud extractor to wind it out.
(the left hand thread jobbies, from any toolshop or halfrauds)

give it a sharp tap downwards and they come out easy.
