I swapped the exhaust a few months ago and swapped the butterfly valve with the bit scorpion provided.. It was fine but now it's doing the same as this videos doing No fi light coming on so not sure if I should worry about it or not.
I have found a servo buddy which enables you to remote the whole servo mech but it's from America and close to 45£, think i will leave it till the fi starts flashing
It is possible it does this as the servo is not sensing any tension when closing, so no limit is reached to inform the ECU to shut off. Is there not a resistor or diode fix that enables you to remove the servo motor altogether?
I think that's what the servo buddy does as it replaces the motor.. Scorpion send a blanking plate like the one in the vid that seemed to work fine till now.. Maybe it's moved slightly but it isn't throwing up any fault codes.. I could reconnect the old mechanism and let it reset then add the blanking plate again..
You can remove the servo motor by replacing it with an inline resistor. The ECU needs a resistance to trick it into thinking the servo is still in place. This is a very common mod in any race bike. When I did mine the resistor cost no more than £1 from Maplin. Check the web for info, should be loads.
I have found loads in the US but they are $60+ and all seem to be made by individuals rather than a company who are selling there own creations.. I found a step by step guide but I'm completely useless when it comes to electrics.. Will leaving it as it is cause any issues as the fi isn't flashing any fault codes..
I put the old wheel on yesterday and rigged the cables up and it stopped moving.. Put the black plate on and it started moving again
