I have just changed the rear sprocket and chain but I cannot for the life of me get the front sprocket off. Help please
last time i took one off i needed socket on a strong arm bar. also put it in first and get someone to sit on it. then go uuuurrrrggghhhh till it comes loose.
not seen one meself but has it got tab washers what you have to knock over? if the old sprocket is junk you might be better gripping hold of it with a pair of stillies and get someone to swing on the nut... not a big fan of locking the bike in gear and stressing the gearbox, clutch etc... you will find a good sharp tap on the socket handle will shock it off easier than steady force...
large bit of wood through the rear wheel to lock it, decent socket and a section of scaffold pole to use a breaker bar, a friend roughly the size of one of the horsely brothers to stop the bike jumping about and you'll have it done in no time
