ZX10R gremlin

Heres the issue peeps, Whilst doing Oulton Park today.

At first i thought that it was only 3rd gear, but it turned out to be 3rd and 4th.

Bike is cutting out between 6 and 9k revs then kicking back in again!!

Not everytime either

When it cuts out it feels like its about to throw you over the bars due to the extremes or accelerating followed by not power.

Tank removed, fuel pump removed, air box removed fuel tank emptied.

There is no fuel filter and all seems clean.

Any ideas peeps

 

Sorry but might be cluching at straws here ' But could it be a lose wire or electic fault .?

if its bogging down maybe it could be intermittently getting fuel ?

 

Does this happen when leaned over? or just down the straights?

 

I was getting a tyre fitted at the motorbike workshop in Prescot on friday and a bloke with a ZX10R came in with exactly the same problem,wasnt you was it ?? anyway told him to have a look at the air flow sensor and it seems the fuel cut off tilt switch had "fell off" its mount which wouldnt of helped ???

 

pretty certain that it was a lose connection in the block from the right hand side switch assemby.

All seems well now, fitted a new battery, but it wasn't that.

 

cool i would have said electrical connection somewhere too
