    hello any zxr owners.....
bike (zx750 r l3) has been in bits for 2 weeks & nobhead here left the ignition on...
come to start it today, the tacho spins to 6k, relay buzzing etc.
hoping it's just a flat battery - it's on charge atm

is that normal for a flat battery? i mean the tacho showing 6000 - im assuming it's saying there is 6v charge as it drops to 4.5 when i press the starter.
    the indicators wont flash either

    any help appreciated

With the battery disconnected just squeeze the brake lever a couple of times. Dunno if this works but many Skyline owners used to swear on it to discharge any residual charge in the electrics, to prevent the sensitive electric trickery that keeps a Skyline going round corners shiny-side-up getting it's knickers in a twist.

    Charge battery.

Reconnect. And hopefully all will then be good :)

got it turning over now and tacho is up to 11
it must work like a voltmeter when you first turn it on, just hadnt noticed that before...
i'll leave it on charge overnight (and my vtr!)
hopefully tomorrow it will fire up and i can get out for a blast!

started up ok til i left it switched on all week, was just hoping i hadnt fried the coils or summat, seems ok tho....
