Zinc plating

Need to get rear wheel spindle/nut and the little plates all zinc plates as winter has corroded them to shit.

Went to a place in Liverpool and he said he only does a minimum of £60 so would need a group buy.

A mate uses simms but that is miles away...

I need somewhere local. I can't send my wheel spindle away to get plated and leave my bike on its stand for a week...I need to get booked in somewhere to the bike is only sitting for a few hours and then I can rebuild it.

Any ideas/recommendations of platers/anodizers?

 

Let me know if you find somewhere, need some bits redoing myself!

 

Just had some zinc and chrome plating done , really pleased with it too.

Not a bad idea a group buy, Have you thought about getting one of those Zinc Plating kits ? They're about £50.

Might be ok for some but to far for others , does a great job at a good price ( in my opinion )

 

place down the side of the vauxhall garage by costco, derby road?, are sensible with their prices.

 

Hi Tech Coatings in Rainford Industrial Estate, I have had some things powder coated there, really cheap and I'm sure they do plating too !

 

I went there and it looked abandoned...are they still in business?

Will call them tomorrow and see.

 

not sure, haven't been there for a few years but it never looked open at the best of times

 

the engineers i work for, get thinks plated in wigan/leigh area.
they charged me £35 for a batch of 160 wheel spacers.
we use them for all our work, from small spacers to large trailer parts.
