got a youtube account yesterday, went to upload a 4 min video and it was going to take over 2 hours to do it :O

is that right???

can i find a quicker way?

 

sounds like you need to compress the video mate
you tube is taking that long cos it will be compressing the size of it before adding it

 

how do you do that then?? :S

I've just done the same, got a 4 min vid from the MD80 thingy, and uploading as i type it has 55 min left, and its 268mb, how do i compress the file?

 

use adobe premiere or similar and you should get tool there to compress it
failing that it can be done in windows movie maker

Uploaded a 280mb file took 1h and 10 mins at 85k sec

So its about right, 55 min !!! if you compress it , you would lose the clarity !!

other way is to split the video small file BUT i will still take the same amount of time to up load

Took me ages, tried 5min clip and after 6hrs of uploading it failed!! :x

Compressed it & lossed some quality, took about 2 hours and didnt fail

 

Just let it take it time to uploadsome of my video take ages

Worth it in the end
