Just thought i would add a new post, perhaps others care to add keeping it in a similar format ?
    Anyway here is the route
    http://goo.gl/maps/bwevM

starting and ending around Mold, its a nice 3 - 4 hour ride out, i always see something new and enjoy it every time.
This route has something for everyone, 125's can manage, superbikes have some stretches where they can be "opened up" a bit, and some high speed corners.
I find this route very well suited to the 400's or the 916.
A few pubs / watering holes dotted around on route make this a nice little jaunt.
Keeping away for 50% of the "well trodden" bike routes with lots of traffic and police.

Anyway there may or may not be a couple of RVF's this saturday on this route if your around !

    Mine is the Peak Parks ride because;
I am only ever 1 hour from home if anything goes tits up with my daughters though the tour of the Peak Park can take six hours if you do it thoroughly, Most of the roads are un inhabited by the police once you get off the beaten track , the pubs are all good toilet and fuel stops are easy to find, Riders of all abilities can have a damned good day out and we have some of the best scenery in the country If you are into photography you would have a brilliant time here.
Chatsworth House is a must see if you have never been past before, Mam Tor Shining Tor, /shivering mountain Wynatts Pass Holme Pass, The Cat and Fiddle, The Snake Pass Hope Valley, Frogatt Edge , Newhaven to Wiston and Bakewell, The 500+ bikes at Matlock on a Sunday or most other sunny Days Derwent Valley Dams if you go mid week , Errwood Valley to the Cat and fiddle One way only but closed at Weekends Long Hill from Buxton then Kettleshulme to Macc, The back roads around the edges of the forests and lakes . The little Cafe as Whetton Mill and the tunnel for those who love to hear the sound of their own Bikes LOUD.....

Its easy to get to from anywhere and if you head towards any compass point you will cross a main road so you cant get lost !

It takes in parts of Derbyshire Yorkshire Cheshire & Staffordshire The views right over the Cheshire plain from the Cat or right out to the east coast from the top of Holme Moss or down the Hope Valley from Grindleford or Hathersage are amazing .
Yulgrave and not forgetting Monsall Head .

Once you get off the fast roads between major towns there are long open stretches for faster bikes and great twisty roads for those who really just want to tour and take in all the scenery .

Its easy to do It Badly , if you get a ride of 30 odd bikes with a map drawn up by someone who doesn't know the place because you miss most of it and need to keep close attention to who is following you and make sure they stay with you . Drop the ride down to half that number or impose strict discipline and you will have the best ride out bar none

Bring a tent and there are stunning camp sites all round the place if you want a biker camp there are plenty to pick from with good facilities and who really welcome bikes and bikers .

The best bit is that if you plan it before hand there are pubs that will open early just to do you bacon butties and tea,, or cater for a group lunch or hot pot supper ....

For anyone wanted to make an informed weekend of it there are some really interesting sites, and historic places .

This is a great place to bring a pillion too because they get to really take in the scenery and a pilly with a camera would be a bonus Anyway I have rambled enough If you haven't done it properly yet come and see it . Castleton isnt the be all and end all of the Peaks Matlock is just another view point and the Cat , well its the Cat; it had its day but the Cameras have killed off a huge amount of the bike traffic .Lathkill Dale and the area around there and the Manifold Valley need to be seen on warm sunny days . So next time its hot and sunny and you want a great day ride out Head for the Peaks do it early and expect it to be a long day . Short rides are 100-150 miles the longest I have done was 328 .

Believe me Dawn till Dusk is easily possible in this place ....Ok you will get the odd copper who will stop for a chat , if you are parked up but he wont be inspecting your bike ..he will probably be trying to sell you on a Bike Safe course ![IMG]

    Its not like Wales....
I am lucky I was born and raised here .[IMG]

This places just hosted 200 bikes for the Harley Event
Below is the Cafe at Whetton mill, its liek one of the ose places that can only be found by those who know where it is,,,,, Clue....Head to Hulme End and it wont be far away ........

Seriously though, almost any mountain pass - Llanberis has to be the best of the best, coming over the top the vista is amazing, then turn right down through the trees to Beddgelert :)

It's the B6255 from Ribblehead to Hawes! AWESOME stretch of road. I don't ride it to often, to keep it magical!

Another great stretch of road is the A483 from Crossgates to Newtown.

same as rob and Tomo the settle to ribblehead to hawes is superb , lots of blind crests and jumps.... the A87 from Kyle of Lochalsh to invermorrison in scotland is rated by all the mags as the best road in the UK and i agree .......but my personall favorite is from Gilpin Bridge to Bowness, the B5074......this is tourist free, its like Oulton Park , Un ravelled and laid out , a top road with top views ,and top bends ...its top !
