Very accurate title for a thread. Its a great bike. really is. But its not the best out there. Good value - yes best - nope. Oh and before you get all defensive the ktm isnt the best either.
they should rename them the street / speed boomerang - there's been that many recalls on them lol :lol:
why do they call them 'speed' though???? they only do 155 :lol: (allegedly).... i'd like to see someone trying to hang onto a naked bike at a true 155!
Bike magazine have clocked a BMW K1300R at 169mph (GPS checked) I've got access to somewhere private, where I've had over 150 showing (with more to come!) so it's possible!
My dads brother had a naked Yamaha Fazer 1000 that did over 150, wasn't the nicest of experiences albeit but hung on
Triumph make the best retro, the best middleweight roadster, the best middleweight sports, the best selling supernaked and seriously competitive adventure bikes both middleweight and big bore...oh and an excellent luxury tourer... Be proud. A British company kicking ass. 30 years ago they were bankrupt, they didn't exist.
I had the zr7 at 130mph once (private property of course) and that was clinging on for dear life but then I only weigh 9 1/2stone so... Wouldn't even like to try 150 on a naked MONKEYYYYY
