I sincerely hope not! The west needs to seriously consider all consequences, and have the full agreement of the west & particularly Russia. I'm a firm believer that the next 'world war' will be nuclear.

The US gave Saddam it's "blessing" to use chemical weapons against Iranians 25 years ago then decided to have a fight about oil a few years later under the premise of "democracy and terrorism".
