This will be a bit of a mystery tour and we will definitely get lost once or twice. Part of the fun. 1. I've never led a ride-out before - Make sure you know the destination. 2. This won't be a race. If we organize a group ride I'd rather we stay as a group. 3. Of course people will fall behind/catch up, but wait at junctions and stay together. I've made this map showing the dates/times and locations: To see the cars - we need to be inside that red blob. Plan is as follows: I've never been to a WRC stage so I just wanna see & hear all the awesome cars, maybe test out my new camera. First car is due at 12:45. Intending to arrive around 11:30 am - Giving us at least 1 hour to find a good spectating spot. HERE IS THE ROUTE MAP: http://goo.gl/maps/I2niO Stop off at Rhug is estimated 30 minutes to get food/drink. Weather looks reasonably dry - small chance of rain Be prepared to get muddy if we try some green lanes Wet leaves/wet roads etc - Just a reminder to take it easy LINKS: Tunnel entrance weather: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2644210 Rhug weather: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ll21 WRC car park weather: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2643919 08:30AM meeting point: http://goo.gl/maps/As7CL 10:00AM meeting point: http://goo.gl/maps/UYEYt 11:30AM meeting point: http://goo.gl/maps/HJDzp Liverpool Museum - Mold - Ruthin - B5105 - A5 - Rhug - A494 - B4402 - B4401 - B4391 - B4396 - B4393

They used to used a park ..think it was Chatsworth, was great there pitch the tent, mini stove sorted ...but now its just wales ... whats the weather looking like ??
It isn't too far mate. I had the same 125 and have done this exact route with Daz and a few others. Gimme a few minutes I'll try and get the post organized with a better route. Right now I'm trying to make a table but for some reason this forum doesn't support HTML OR BB Code?!
Looking dry for the most part - small chance of rain but nothing major. Will have a better idea tomorrow.
ive seen a couple of stages of rallying over the years......the ones in the Parks sue, like KNowsley etc they just drive around and its wide open...the ones in wales or scotland ..they drive fast round quarrys and through forests...this is superb to see,,, they approach blind corners with trees and spectators every where at speeds you think thing possible to get round the bend... you will have a great day watching the top men ...
service park is in deeside this year...http://www.walesrallygb.com/spectators/deeside_service_park.php
Did a few years service crewing on the Lombard RAC, Peugeot 206 group N, Sierra Cosworth and one year Lada Riva in the Lada challenge. Only problem with being in service support you never got to see any of the stages.
Not too sure - probably hang around until we get bored (depends how many cars fly past I guess) and then head back early(ish) - stop off at Deeside as Bloke has pointed out. Could aim to be back at Deeside before 16:00 ? That way people have time to chill around the service park or go home before it gets dark.
I would be up for this but I'm in work till 12 tomorrow, may have to head down with stu.p. After I Finnish
Il have to see mate as I've just been told I could be in till 2 so if that's the case I won't be going
