right lads this is what ive come up with similar to last time but off towards Ripon instead of sticking on that bumpy road. have a look at the map try and make a note of some of the place names. set off at 11am from Hollingworth lake at the meeting point should be back for 5 just have a little stop in Hawes about half way. http://www.bing.com/maps/?&mm_src=direc ... Looks like a good route Tom. Definitely up for that. May meet you guys in Skipton though (at the turn off to Grassington maybe), as I only live by the A59 and Hollingsworth is a fair way out of the way only to go North again.
yeah good point Alex u can either meet at grassington turn-off or theres a layby just before it on the skipton bypass u could meet us there probably about 12. ive just edited the map and stuck a little green circle on it i think thats the one anyway.
Aye, will meet you there abouts. If you let me know when you leave Rochdale, I'll set off and we should be there about the same time.
Ya wonna try it with someone on the back, it's bloody hilarious  I couldn't stop laughing, cheekyads just loves going airborne i hope his mum doesn't read this :fight: If she does, it was all under control, trust me  PS i did keep looking in my mirror to make sure you landed ok

i would but i have to much on later and wouldnt get back in time sorry next time pal have a good ride :bye:
great ride today lads, sorry, lost stueo again on the way back... (can you post when you see this pls stu so we know you're ok, i don't have your moby) i'll post up some vids in a bit if they turned out ok... all went well untill the way back... got flashed by a oncoming car, thought it mightve been a camera van as we saw a few out today... got to the crest of a hill on a left hander to see a crash had just happened. 2 riders down and another 2 stood around while cops gave cpr to the 2 downed riders. more cops came, 2 ambulances and a paramedic van, then air ambulance landed and some more medics got out. help was already at the scene and there was nothing we could do... sean & tom were obviously quite shaken,, don't think they'd seen a bad one yet, so we turned round and had a sombre ride home - kind of takes the fun out of a ride when you see something like that. didn't look good for the 2 poor souls tbh, i dont think they made it. didn't go looking obviously and couldnt say what bikes they were, one was totally destroyed and looked like a big tourer like a pan, the other one downed looked like a burgman so it's unlikely they were scraping the pegs. looked like they had met a car on the crest but i can't say who was in the wrong... no doubt it will be in the papers etc. hope they are ok, but think it's a case of condolences to family & friends -- thank god it wasn't one of our group.
It was a good day till that end part, it really did shake me up pal. Too see someone lay there on the side of the road in that state was horrendous. It made me sick, cross fingers they are ok, I know it looked really bad and you are probably right, but strange things do happen. The only thing that makes me think that it was fatal was the fact that the ambulances did not shoot off after 20 mins, neither did the air ambulance. It was good to meet up with Alex, I wondered who that was terrorising me on those bends Lol. We all got back safe and sound, which is all that matters. Really not worth taking risk's after today's incident. Video footage should be good pal, that Gopro is a great little camera.
Got home OK cheers, the police had closed the start of the road by the time I got there. Glad you all got home safe.
What are you like Stueo, every time we go to Yorkshire we lose you. I think next time we will have to put a tracker on your bike so we know where you are bud. I will have to pick my jacket up when we are next out pal.
yeh got some good vids m8, good scenery, nothing too mad, just a respectable pace. gutted tho, really hoped i'd got this on cam but the batteries ran out on the return from muker hill - a few mile after we lost alex, on a straight over them jumps, i saw 10" air under tom's back wheel, my back wheel stayed on the road but wow, it popped a stupendously logn wheelie lol, fkin awesome.... i'll get the lithium batteries next time, duracell only last 30 mins tops  i got the bit where the gixxer 1000 went off the road, and when tom ran wide and i nearly ran into him lol! post it on vimeo in a bit  *try to get that crash out your head m8, i know it's not nice but shit happens, just remember it when you're acting daft or see others acting like cocks... might well be it wasn't rider error but doesn't matter who was in the wrong, the guy is gone. sort of shocks you into reality a bit when you see stuff like that - touch wood you will never lose a mate when you're out, that seriously fucks you up m8. reason i was concerned about stueo is i saw the bike was purple / maroon and hoped to fk it wasn't stu who'd took a short cut to try catch us up. thank fk it wasnt. didnt mention it cos i could see you were already shook up. in future we need to make sure we have moby number of every rider out on a ride. & we need to stick together more when we're out in a group, make more of a presence on the road, less chance of someone getting hit. as long as it's not the case of those poor riders, either they were rider & pillion, or the 2nd rider was too close to avoid a hit. moving on...
yeah good ride out today lads 200miles covered and some good roads, even managed to dodge the rain. sad end to the day tho if we'd only been 10mins earlier we would have avoided seeing that. really dont wanna see anything like that again makes you think. bloody freezin on that motorway glad to get in. off for a few beers  take it easy.
