Some of you, round Warrington way, must know of a good place to get a Power Commander, Air Filter & Exhaust fitted.

Who do you trust to do this work around here?

Well not in Warrington but if you want your bike to be looked after then try Mr Pig in Manchester - Ian Clayton. Top bloke.

I'm not affiliated, and I've only ever used his dyno, but Chris, at http://www.dynopro-racing.co.uk/index.html , based in Runcorn ,seems a decent bloke. He did a free dynorun day last year and a few from here went along so perhaps they'll chime in with their opinions. He's quite happy to talk about his work, too, and show you examples of what he's done.
He also makes his own programmable ECU's and CDI's.

To reiterate, I've only had dyno work done by him

can you not fit them yourself at least the filter and exhaust not that hard, as for the power commander gettting set up right. that's another job.

I'd fit the exhaust, filter and connect the power commander up myself to be honest. Then take it to runcorn and get some dyno runs done to set the power commander up.
You really need a dyno to get the powercommander set up correctly. unless theres a fireblade forum with someone who has similar mod's that you can copy their settings?

    Thanks for the offer mate.
I'm going to speak to the blokes recommended on here.

I agree I could do the Filter & Exhaust myself, but I'd need the commander
fettling by a pro with the right equipment, so I'm just going to get them to do the lot.

Also, I don't fancy wrecking something with my big ham fists

I've extracted the flapper valves out of the air intakes myself, sounds much
better now and that's one less job to be done by them.

I've already spoke to Spod Motorcycle Engineering at bridge foot, Warrington.

    I'm looking at this:

 All because it can never be too loud, and 165bhp simple isn't enough

Can anyone recommend someone who can fix my speedo,on a fazer thou, ive asked 2 qualified mechanics, who either dont know or dont want to know.Im in the chorley area.thanks.

is it a mechanical speedo or an electronic one? does it span the full range when you start it up?
if its mechanical then theres a sender on the gearbox and a cable between there and the clocks...not too hard to see if the sender has failed as if you disconnect it at different points you should see it spinning...

if its electronic then its a different approach all together! :fight:

Its an electronic one, thanks for the help anyway, ill probably look to see if i can buy a new part from ebay and have ago myself i think.
