Looking at getting a new set of tyres for ye olde' ZXR, looking for opinions on the ones I've found or suggestions for others, so far I've found...

    - Bridgestone BT014's
    - Bridgestone BT021's
    - Bridgestone BT020's
    - Michelin Pilot Sport's
    - Avon Storm's
    - Conti Road Attack's

    Thanks :D

I had the Michelin Pilot Sports when I had the ZX-6R. Fantastic tyre... loved them. They're the main reason why I've now stuck the Pilot Powers on the ZX-9R. I absolutely love Michelin tyres.

You'll only find the right tyre through trial and error. I've had Bridgestone and Dunlop but found Michelin to be the best suited for me. I'm sure other people will say other tyres suit them better. Only way to find out dude is to try them.

    Michelin FTW for me ;)

Had 208's on my Mito and I found them to be really good, heard they weren't any good in the wet but mine seemed fine.

Looking at getting the Pilot Sports but going to do a little more research first.

I have the Bridgestone BT014's, good alround tyres and dont get chewed-up by the roads too easily - even over here on the TT Course, which is famous for eating tyres!

On ICE, how? I've spent most of my life on bikes and never found a tyre thats "good on ice".

Getting the wheels black, the fairings are going to be black\white, will have to finish my photoshop of what I want it to look like. :)

I prefer your bike the way it is tbh mate

Problem is the half the rear wheels paint is off\coming off and a lot of the paint work on the tank and some of the main fairing is scratched, I figured to do a original scheme would cost a fair whack as I'd have to have the colour matched etc. I've not been able to find one that you can get off the shelf. I'll have to see how much money I have when I come to thinking about the respray more (April-May) as this is just the initial idea I like the most.

I think you will devalue the bike big time if you paint it like that. Any way you could get a quote to repair the original colour scheme?

gotta agree with chris, think repairing the original will look far better

I did originally want to put it back to stock but most people didnt agree, or wanted something different. Linky

I'll be keeping the bike for another year and a half at the minimum, so I guess when I come to sell it the price wont really be that great with or without respray?
