I'm in need of new tyres on my CBR600F It currently has dunlop d207 's on it at the mo. But i have jst got the bike and not really had time or weather to ride the 207's properly to see if i like them and they are worn out! Im wondering if any one has any advice on tyres to help me decide which to go for. I use it for commuting as well as some weekend riding. Cheers
i've always used Bridgestone's (had dunlops on my first R6) 010 or now 014...they are the dual tread ones hard wearing in the centre but grippy on the sides...they also warm up really quick. i love em...but again tyres are quite a personal feel thing.....that's just my opinion.
I recomend the bridgestone BT016. They are a gp triple compund tyre.....mint!! sticky as fook!!
Cheers guys bt-016 look good! and the bt-021 mite be a bit better for the commute with the harder wearing center Any idea how much milage to expect from a set of bridgestone tyres?
i've always had bt 014's and never had any problems with them, but on my gixxer 1000 at the moment they have 021, but i fancy trying the 016's as i don't commute
my gixxer started life with bt014 on it, personally i couldn't get on with them and had no confidence what so ever, switched to michelin pilot power 2ct's and they are awesome, warm up so quick and endless grip. everyone's different tho mate, only way you'll find out is to try them and see what you think
Michelin Pilot Powers for me also. I've had Dunlop, Bridgestone etc and Michelin seem to give me the best feedback and confidence out of the lot. Just seem to suit my riding style better. If anything, just go through the brands until you find something that gives you a better feel.
Im on pilot power 2ct's also i rate them, but i also rate the bridgstone bt014's the only tyre i recommend people not to get it the dunlop D207s lol really dont like them
Gotta agree. Dunlops are absolute dire. I had dunlop qualifiers on the zx7r and they were just shit. Spin up in the wet with no grip and no confidence in the front end. Changed to Michelin 2ct's and the handling returned to how it should be!
i put some 021's on in June and they've done 5000 miles so far with plenty of tread left on both, though they struggle to get warm at the minute with the roads being so bloody freezin, lots of tyre spin lol, never had a problem when it was warm mind, tons of grip
