I'm surprised that there's a feeling this forum is censored too much, or even worse, partisan in its censorship.

Im on a few forums and i can genuinely state that I find this the most one where conversations can get very strong and where insults are hurled regularly (not with bad intentions normally) and the mods and admin usually let us sort it out without intervention or censorship.

Ive said the wrong thing at the wrong time on here a few times, ramming my foot firmly down my throat, and not been oppressed or censored. And if a southern shandy drinker like me can get a way with it I cant see how any one else cant.... unless they are really bang out of order and dopey too.

 

See that is the point...... the collective doesn't matter when the forum owner execises his own right to delete or censor anything that is on the forum ,,, its kind of his intellectual property . Did that answer the original question of why the guy was axed? I think It just did . Does that reflect on the perceived changes of the forum though ?

i disagree with so.e of what you say and agree with some......paul as the owner has put his own time effort and money into the forum and can do what the hell he likes..........if people complain i understand he must act...........what i intended to question on the start of this thread is why some people found jvid offensive......iv have seen in my humble opinion worse without people jumping on the........im offended..................and the reason is again in my opinion because of clicks......not because their genuinly offended..........iv questioned loads of stuff and iv done it to all the mods i thinkover the time iv been on here,And iv not been banned yet......supprisingly enough.....but judging by the responce im not the only one who questions whats gone on or that the outcome seemed uneven........butike it or lump it it is pauls forum.......but i will continue to question everything i dont like......until the day he decides im a cunt and bans me also

 

Thing is Mozz, I wasn't actually *offended* by him or what he said (me, personally). Like I said before, I didn't complain to anyone about it. I had every intention of taking him on myself if I found what he said insulting. There's a difference between being offended (or choosing to be offended) and being insulting.

What I found hard to fathom with JVid was why he seemed intent on being insulting in every thread he posted in, or anything he said. I genuinely don't get why someone would join a forum to just insult everyone. I asked him that question. Didn't get a response.

I'm not part of any clique. Never have been. I've met (in person and virtually) some fab people through this forum. I joined because I wanted to find people to ride with. When I'm healed and back on my bike, I'll join rides. I'll join even more when I get off the 125!

im not questioning if you were offended or not, but i could guess the complainants......now thats either im a friggin psychic or the whole deal is bullshit......................i dont have the lotery numbers before you ask............judging by 6 pages im not the only one who who thinks the same thing but this isnt democracy its a dictatorship and the owner has spoken, do i agree with him.......no.......do i have to accept that he is the owner and therefore can do what the hell he likes yep..........when life throws you lemons make lemonade.......have some people opened my eyes..........oh hell yeah..........

 

I think you're thinking too much about it Mozz. The likelihood is that lots of different people, who are unconnected, made some kind of complaint or whatever. Also the person didn't help themselves by not responding to any requests to 'moderate' themselves, which to me smacks of guilt or even (from a site administrator's point of view) they're a troll or that they don't actually exist!

I'm sure my twatty neighbour still thinks he's in the right after trying to jump on me while I was moving my (running) bike...but he is the one with the police warning, not me. It's not a conspiracy, he's just in the wrong.
