    Right so I have just had my wheels powder coated and the rubber is back on and they look beautiful , well I think so anyway :D but I am umming an rrrrin about having them balanced purely because I don't want to see big ugly weights stuck on the rims , no doubt some will say better to have balanced wheels over aesthetics due to safety reasons . :rolleyes:

    Should have powder coated them after the weights went on so the weights were the same colour as the wheels...

    You can negatively balance a wheel by grinding some of the rubber away on the heavier side.

    Get them balanced! A un balanced wheel doesn't feel nice above 60mph. They vibrate like I don't know! (Although your Mrs might like it!)

    wheres the pics and what colour ? defo get them balanced ,........ think wobbles like a fat girls arse if you dont !!

    Balance the front definitely, the rear you can get away with.

    The rear is fixed axle with no side motion so is not affected by out of balance like the front which can wobble.

    Cheers for the link , had a good read and yeah they seem a very good way of balancing , and at £18.50 I think I will give it a shot. :thumbsup:

    Y not just ride it and see how it feels?

    Where did you get them done and how much?

    Powder coating was done at http://penninepowdercoating.com/ I did a package of frame / wheels / tank / top & bottom yokes / and a lot of other bits an bats £ 360. they have a facebook page and one of my wheels he did are on there , candy orange.

    yeah Chris is a ok guy ( one man band ) all the right gear and does a decent job . you just got to double check on the price before hand so you don't get a nasty shock come payment time.
