Hi all, anyone hazard a guess at this slight problem, my front wheel on my 2000 hornet wobbles mainly when cornering, nothin major just slight really. Some people say it could be front shock seals, tyre balance or bearing but it passed it MOT on Friday so would of thought they'd so up or at least mention it. Any ideas? Or anyone know anywhere that are good at diagnosing in the Liverpool area?

    Cheers

just do me a favour, just to rule out the most basic of things

    go check your tyre pressures.

mine where totally out on the 7r, made it wobble and feel sluggish in corners.

check your manual for correct psi settings.

mine where 36psi front, 41psi rear.

Easy way to see if the wheel bearings have gone is to get someone to hold the bars and you then try to move the wheel laterally. Any movement and they need replacing.
If the fork seals have gone you would normally see oil on the sliders.
If the wheel was unbalanced it would not show up all the time, it is a frequency thing, it would only do it at a certain speed.

    Thanks

Checked tyre pressure thats ok, no movement laterally and no fluid on forks. leaves me with wheel balancing-will get that looked at.

have a look at the bearing they may be shot mate that can cause it to feel wobbbie lad but a it could be the forks they may have old oil in them which can affect the damping mate

Go down to Orrell Park Motorcycles, they'll give it a once over for you if you tell them you're from NWB
