I worked at a Company called Wheelbase for 8 years and you would not believe the condition some of the wheels I saw where in. I strongly reccomend not getting them repaired. I have seen numerous wheels shatter and split due to impact damage on the areas that have been repaired previoulsy. On a car you get away with it, on a bike ???? well need I say more?

It's up to you at the end of the day mate but I persoanlly would buy a new wheel.

Theres a place in widnes called national alloys, Just near the new B&Q Warehouse.

Know that bike wheels are a fortune to buy, and sometimes hard to find.

Heres there website http://www.nationalalloys.co.uk/ there are some prices on there!
