Ok sounds like a daft question, but I'm either missing something or a gorilla put my front wheel on. Is there any technique to getting a zx6r front wheel off? I've got the correct tools etc. I just can't get it break loose :(

problem is because of the way kwak have made it you need to get a grip of it on both sides... easier said than done spesh since you have to use the sparkplug socket on one side and the special tool on the other! (the sparkplug socket is a bitch to keep hold of with a spanner etc)

Andy, If I remember correctly, it was a biatch to get off for me too.

I didn't hold the otherside, put the socket i gave you in and lefty loosey, make sure the pinch bolts are tight on the opposite side,(the end your putting the spark plug spanner in) that is like a threaded nut mate, the spindle screws into that.

If you still get stuck, giz a shout, p.s. don't overtighten those pinch bolts mate, they are only a low torque :shades:

They only got tightend (to the data specified in the Haynes) with the 2 0f the 3 breakbacks in my tool kit mate, so I can't really understand why you had to "Jump" on the bar

My breakbacks are spot on too, I get the calibration checked every 6 months,(always spot on) and they arn't cheapo Argos jobbies, 1/4" 3/8" are both Snap-on and the 1/2" is Facom :shades:

I haven't had a customer complain they can't get their wheels off after I've done a job for them............well not yet anyway

Tut tut, Andy c'mon mate you know me better than that  I hate them things, you want to see the damage they do to wheel studs on cars when peeps go to fast fit garages. :O
Not to mention getting the things off, especially if you get a flat at the roadside with your little wheel brace in the boot
