So as per title, money no object, but it would be your daily driver. So while a ferrari may appeal for a bit - i am sure it would become pretty tedious in traffic in rushhour and in that multi storey car park. So if i may start - as i am firmly rooted in the past, clearly i love the 80's and 90's era's of automotive excellence. Money no object i would have one of the very last Audi quattro 20v WR turbo's "fire up the quattro bolly"
they did well on the RAC rallies.......for me it was the capri 2.8 injection but now i would be happy with a Aston Martin DB9
I have a few things i would love and could live with quite happily. First is a lotus carlton Second a cavalier gsi And last, my ultimate dream car, shelby gt500
Dont laugh,Bedford J2 bus, fell in love with these after seeing one at a classic car meet,as money would be no object i would have the inside converted to camper/bike transporter
Daily driver? I'll go for a Jag XFR-S please as bikes tend to fall over when you slide them on mountain roads
Mini E.R.A turbo fun fast n old school, Google them and fall in love ;-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOUTe-cPW5c&feature=youtube_gdata_player Check the link n see other clips too ;-) Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
Oh yes! About a year back one of these pulled away from the lights as I rode past on the mountain bike...I'm sure the ground started shaking hahha
got an 84 wr, had three at one time, two 84s and an 81 lhd one. the 20v is a bit too civilised to drive though and overpriced. surely you mean 'watch them rust away before your eyes' as opposed to fall in love!!!!
Bloke - i would love to pop over sometime and see this. I know the 20v is the more refined car so to speak, but as a daily driver i did assume it would be the easier to live with. My old boss had a G plate car in black and i drove that a few times when picking him up from chester pissed. He bought one of the new last 20v models unregistered, and he kept it for 2 years in a unit we had built in flint. I had been asked to remove the battery to charge it up and put it on axle stands for winter. a couple of days later the unit was broken into and they tried to get the quattro out, connected a battery they had brought, and hot wired it. got it running too and fitted false plates but couldnt get it off the axle stands so left it. He was very very lucky not to lose that car. idiot sold it shortly after and only just got his money back on it too. 20k for a nice one these days. one day
it's naked at the moment, sorry for the shitty pic, it's on the right hand side... your boss wasn't a bloke called pete was he by any chance?
