Seriously if your going for a week expect to pay £10 camping and you want £30 a day for fuel then you want food and beer money, go and enjoy :D :D

Camping is usually anything from £7-£15 per night depending where you camping .... however from reading the IOM TT Forum recently, a couple of the main camping sites at the popular places have already been booked up for this year.

With regards to fuel, it is a bit more expensive over there & just depends how much riding your planning on doing, you could easily do a couple of tanks a day doing the mountain over & over again, i personally found a tank every day/every other day did me.

Inside the paddock there's a shopping area for the usually hoodie's etc. & prices are the same as you see at the race meets, so £20-£30 for a hoodie, £10-£15 for a top ... usually get a free baseball cap with certain higher priced purchased.
Some shops also sell the TT stuff & there's lots of shops in the town centre for bike related shopping.

You also need to consider food, there's loads of cafe's/burger bars for places to eat, or the local Shop Rite or Tesco's will do you for food.

if your gonna be nailing the mountain every day you need to budget at least £40 a day petrol(2 tanks)then id say to be safe £10-£15 a night camping,so thats £350,then just figure out how much of a fat bas/'=d your gonna be and put some cash to one side for food and drink, all thats left then is shopping pennies, :)

For the 10 nights i was there last year, excluding the hotel bill & ferry bill, i spent about £150 in fuel, £100 for souvenirs & £150 for food & drink (but i dont drink much).

If this is your 1st time over there, look at your current mobile phone plan ..... if it's not inclusive of international calls you may get hit with a large bill as the IOM is not classed as the UK for phone providers.

Some (as i did) got one of the cheap pay as you go ones from the UK, however dont know about them but i still ended up using the credit in a couple of days so ended up using my iPhone & then got landed with a £90 phone bill !!
So i'll be getting a IOM sim card & trying that instead this year !!

  12. Think I'll have to do the same sick of my phone contract going over and the money u spent will be roughly the same as what u spent I'll just won't eat out much to save on money can live on cereal for breakfast and dinner and treat myself to tea lol what kind of things is there to do exempt the obvious raceing lol is there bike shows and that

Lots going on during TT week. Usually the racing is every other day. On the non- racing days there are various bike events in different towns, Laxy and Peel have one, and Ramsey hold a sprint. There is something going on in Douglas on the prom every night, like stunt shows, BMX, motocross freestyle etc. bushys beer tent is also there with live bands. Usually there are a few bands playing at the Villa Marina in Douglas as well.
You defo won't be bored :)

Camping is anything from £0-£10 :icecream:
Might be a good idea to get travel insurance . About £20 for the trip.
should you have an accident and be in hospital the treatment on the island is free.
But if they have to transter you to a uk hospital for specialist treatment you will have to pay
    the cost of repatriation. :icecream:

During race week there's the usual stunt show on the prom of an evening, there's the Ramsey sprint & displays at Peel & some viewing places have photography displays to have a look at. Sometimes the Douglas museum has something on, there's is loads to see & do. Even just walking around the paddock seeing the riders & motorsport celebs & of course, the pit babes draw a few crowds !!

When you get on the ferry you get given a TT Guide which has all the details in of the displays, how to get there & what times etc.
The booklet used to have vouchers & details of where to eat with discounts, didn't do it last year though :(
