any welders on here that could advise a novice where to start I fancy having a dabble at welding,any suggestions as to what machine to start with I have a Limited budget and i have looked at the Clarke 160 TE in machine mart mainly because it will run off pub gas rather than buying those canister type gas over to you
look here...http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/index.php pub gas is a bit shitty i find, worth getting argoshield. also you're better going for a good used machine than a new one. decent wire feed will be noticeable. also dependant on what you want it for tig is worth looking at, takes a bit of getting used to but you get some fantastic looking welds.
