Hoping to get my cbr back from Honda in time... They've broken one of the fairings when changing the brake fluid on the abs! Stuck with a courtesy nc700x auto cbr thing at mo and it's SHITE! I thought the street triple was bad but this is worse! Lol
just had a read up about bleeding the abs, sounds like honda are talking shite and it can be done in under an hour!!
I did a bit of research and from what I found out the ecu needs to be out in bleed mode and all that??
found a couple of posts that reckon they've done it without putting it to sleep?? will look on autodata tomorrow and see what that says as well. can't see why it would take so long, abs is pretty much abs regardless of what it's fitted to and as long as you don't get the pump empty then it shouldn't be an issue to bleed through as you are only replacing fluid?? don't see why you can't just use a mitivac?
Yeah I might have another look as it should be done every 2 years but I probably won't change it unti every 4-5 apart from stainless lines!
Well i can take tomorrow off, alas i think i have a rectifier issue on the CBR which manifest itself when getting ridden hard. May meet you on route if i go over to wales and grab the Ducati.
Carl i have the day off regardless if i want it. I am taking the CBR out tonight with a multimeter strapped to the head stock to see if i have fixed the charging issue. If not then i will need to get the big D. Not sure i fancy that route shown only because there are alot of "traffic roads" but if you fancy a 4 - 5 hour spin out pal around wales's finest then i am game.

rectifier stuffed on the CBR. started off with the lights on and i was getting around 13.8 at the battery, as soon as i opened it up the voltage dropped to 12.5 and stayed there until i tuned the headlights off then crept back to 13.1 i know its not the battery and gene is good none earth and all show the same resistance, I have put another rectifier on now but dont know if that ones any good it came from by V4 spares box. I will take it out for a spin after 9.30am and let you know
